Kornerupine

Named after a Danish geologist and explorer of Greenland.  Kornerupine comes in a variety of colors including green (very rare), colorless, white, pink, yellow or brown. The vibrant green variety rivals the finest emerald.

Kornerupine, due to its scarcity, is generally considered to be a collectors stone.  Although it is imminently suitable, kornerupine, again because of its rarity, is seldom used in jewelry making.

 Lore

Most lore concerning kornerupine is from fairly recent history, describing it as a teaching and communication stone.  It is also said to help stabilize the emotional swings of manic depressives and assist in seeing through the false agreements in one's current reality.

"Kornerupine can be used to facilitate a change in physical disorders which subsequently brings the body back to the normal healthy state.  It can be used in times of crises to stabilize both the environment and those involved.  A bit of this mineral in ones environment is quite a survival tool." ¹
