Rhodonite
Rhodonite crystallizes in the form of masses, grains, and tabular crystals. The color range includes pink to rose red, brown-red, green, yellow, and black. It is usually veined by black dendritic inclusions of manganese oxide. Transparent varieties are rare. The name, rhodonite, is from the Greek rhodon, "rose," a reference to it's color. Lore Rhodonite has been used to heal physical trauma as well as psychic distress. It is said to prevent nightmare and to moderate anxiety and restlessness by promoting self esteem and confidence.
